"In all of us there is a hunger, marrow-deep, to know our heritage, to know who we are and where we have come from. Without this enriching knowledge, there is a hollow yearning. No matter what our attainments in life, there is still a vacuum, an emptiness, and the most disquieting loneliness. "

About Me

My Photo
Mavis
Hello and welcome to my blog. I'm a chemist by day and a genealogist and crafter by night. My genealogy blogs, Georgia Black Crackers and Conversations with my Ancestors, are dedicated to my ancestors and my search for them. I've been researching for 20+ years. I'm no expert but am willing to share knowledge as well as the trials and tribulations I encounter along the way. I'm proud of my family and love to share pictures of my ancestors. Random Home Endeavors, my latest blog, is a little bit of this and that about my home decor, crafting, and other things related to keeping and maintaining a home. Somewhere along the way, I'm sure the Genealogy and Crafting / Home Decor will merge into a crafting or decor project that involves the genealogy.
